Alright, It has become quite clear plate tracks and cautions will not work.
As you know we had 2 new drivers. they did a pretty good job at adjusting to situations. I understand they were not at the top of their game so to speak and were involved in incidents with other drivers. We will look at what happened.Drivers who we think are unfit to be competitive or safe around others may and will be sat as we had done in the past to a few drivers. But we do need help them understand and get better at the racing. Heat is a community and new and nice members are hard to come by, I can assure you these guys did not mean to take anyone out.

Also, please remember that no-matter how you think of Heat, it is still a game... Getting upset at drivers (admins, rookies, etc...) who had no intention of wrong doings is literally pointless and deteriorating to the community.

Only peice of advice I can offer beginners is PRACTICE offline alot before starting online races. That's what I did before my first race, I still sucked but at least I was able drive the car well enough to stay out of the way of faster racers.

Spike they had fine car control, but when you have 5 people in a draft and people moving out of line it does get a little hairy. I say welcome all, and we will take it 1 race at a time. We've certaintly seen worse drivers.

I brought this up in another league. I would invoke a 5 lap down rule. If at any point you are 5 laps down its mandatory that you park your car off the track because you obviously have no car control/didn't put in enough practice. That way we don't have people out there causing accidents for the leaders and whatnot who are multiple laps down. New drivers joining will have to practice because they know if they don't they will have to park it.

I am glad we are done with plate tracks. Although i think that was also said at the end of the last plate race so hopefully it will remain true this time. I don't know what it is but everyone just loses their minds and causes mayhem in the closing laps every time at these plate races.

I think the admins (mustang this race) have to be given alot of credit for trying to monitor and make sense of all this craziness, not an easy job.

I sent messages to smitty and rockman316 @ the mod squad, because while it can be frustrating, we were all beginners once, and I don't mind helping out. Just some races are better to start than others. In the heat of the moment, we all say things that are not perfect, I'm no exception. I hope these guys come back, and like spike said practice offline a lot! it makes all the difference.

Donaldson may be onto something. I don't mind that idea, but it depends on the track, if it is a big one like daytona, i can see 5 laps being a huge deal, but a place like bristol, that can be one rough pit stop for repairs. So it just depends.

Nothing really done wrong on the admins part, heck Smitty was only a lap down IIRC. Overall they did a fine job IMO, but people always blame rookies.
edit: Good luck sorting the results.

I agree with almost everything stated here.
The 5 lap rule may or may not be a good idea. Because at tracks like Marty you can get lapped 5 times easily if you got involved in wrecks by others. So it would be more of a dangerous driving meatball flag situation.
@rockman, please come to the next race for practice if you dont think your ready you can just start and park the race. We have no problems with guys who cant grasp a track sitting out a race. We also encourage you to buy a wheel so you can fully enjoy all aspects heat has to offer in all leagues.

I enjoyed the race...Ya I was hit at the end of it and should have had a better finish considering I "caught" them(not signling anyone out) they may have let me by but..all in all. I think everything and everyone did a good job from my view
