Charlotte Complaints and Suggestions

Title......

I think it's time some more pens get handed out on a regular basis to cool off drivers. Charlotte should have only taken 40,45 minutes tops to run 83 laps with a few cautions not 72 minutes; the same with Talladega the prior week. Seemed like almost ever 2nd or 3rd lap people were wrecking. People either need to practice more or not drive such loose setups they can't handle. Another thing I had an issue with is the leaders slowing down coming out of turn 4 for the restarts which bunched the rest of us up, it's not hard to keep a steady pace of 60-70mph, not sure why a few had trouble doing that.

We haven't had many races go over time this year. That being said, I have never given out as many penalties as I had to here.

Well, people jumped the restart and then the slowing down for restart...
Some people were way to aggressive, I myself only became aggressive when I thought it was go time

I came to a revelation last night after the finish of the Charlotte race... I take far more chances than I ever, ever would in any other online race knowing that I can catch a caution.

I wrecked and ended up a lap down within the first 5 laps of the race and 10 laps later I was leading the race!

Now that I've realized this I plan to calm myself down a bit and let everyone else make the crazy moves, lol, But it makes me wonder if I can be the only one in the field..?

The only suggestion i would make is for maybe next season can we please have a "worst round drop" or something of that nature. It doesn't have to be to the extreme that NHRL has it with 4 rounds dropped but at least 1 would be nice. That way we are allowed to miss a race and not be destroyed in the points. I understand that we have provisionals but it doesn't really help much being scored in last place.

Or give everyone 1 mulligan to use (1st place points - 44 points) that can be used anytime within 24 hours of race completion. Say for race 1 next season i finished 10th. I decide i want to use my 1 mulligan for that race, i have to post it on forum within 24 hours of race completion to have the mulligan scored for that event. This way might make it easier than having to go through and do a worst round drop at the end of the season.

I think this would benefit everyone as its very hard to make every race during a season or you will always have that 1 horrible race during the season that you wish you had back.

I suppose if were working on Suggestions for next season I will post the one I made in Team Speak Sunday night... Single File restarts Maybe not as exciting but that could be the point.

I like that fact that we don't drop a round.

Is there any chance this league could move to a chase format to where anyone who wins at least 1 race is locked into the chase? That way if we wanted too we could take half the season off until the chase starts if we win early in the season. Or better yet, split it into 2 championships, an overall season winner and then a chase winner.

No, because then there would be no way in hell that people would show up every week to even have a race. Stay tuned for next season planning

X2 Having multiple championships awarded to drivers in a single season just seems un-natural, like IndyCar does with their Oval and Road championships, or Grand-am with the Endurance and season championships.

But, the drop the worst round and a 1st in race provisional too. I would say give drivers the chance to use those ONLY if they raced, did not park at all, and finished the race running. That way they would come to race but would have used those special provisionals as a last resort option.

We used to not even offer provisionals.

I was disagreeing with the win a race, miss all the others and get into the chase part.

I do like multiple championships, we've been doing it @ OWAction for a couple years and now @ LCHRL.

i think having a team championship standings would be fun to do going forward with the next series.
