Re: Fall-Winter Series
what about aerowars heat?
Imho ARCA is G1 we want to stick to G2 or a seperate mod entirely. but arca, old NW, aero heat, CTS maybe wouldnt be bad if the new mod comes out soon.
but I also wouldnt just use short tracks.

Re: Fall-Winter Series
thats up in the air also, depends on the physics mainly and if other leagues are running it we dont want to be running it at the exact same time.DusterLag wrote:New PlatinumG2 Truck mod when it comes out...

Re: Fall-Winter Series
Okay here is my idea:
*Something crazy to drive that provides close racing, something with alot of grip and speed.
Tracks:
2x Intermediate Ovals
2x SuperSpeedway
2x Short Track
2x Road courses
or, we could do 2 series and alternate like we did over the spring.

Everyone, keep in mind that the mods need to have paintable templates for custom cars

Re: Fall-Winter Series
what about some sort of series using a balance of Road courses and Ovals. I think a mod that is even on all sorts of courses would be a good idea. Maybe the VTA mod, which is a late 60's -70's mod of Muscle cars. It does pretty well on ovals, and does well on road courses aswell. There is also the FR2k mod, which reminds me of the Indy Light cars & should be pretty versatile aswell.

Re: Fall-Winter Series
I like the VTA idea. And in fact, I was planning do to the same in DSS earlier this year.
Though I'm still going to rally behind Super Trucks It would capture the vintatge 1990's style of NASCAR racing and would introduce some even cooler concepts to stock car racing. The series would go on certain legs like a Canadian tour and California tour, each lasting as 2-3 races. The Canadian leg would run Cayuga then Gilles Vilnuve wet - have you seen the CTS racing in the rain? It's pretty sick! While the California tour would run Laguna Seca (special precautions) and an So-Cal short track that I can't remember.
Ever since the trucks had went on to bigger and lamer tracks, many have forgotten the short tracks that captivated audiences and drivers. The Super Trucks would also run at classic tracks such as Hickory and Jacksonville. The Super Trucks series at RR would create an exhilarating and different style of competition, thus drawing in new and fresh talent - which will make for the most simulating league in Heat.

Re: Fall-Winter Series
the problem with short tracks, is that not many people like them because they aren't "fast"
