    G3 Series: 2nd Season

Post by DaveO on Fri Sep 28, 2012 3:51 pm

NHPS, a subsidiary of SpeedSims.net announced the schedule for the second season of its G3 Series, a 5-race championship to be raced at Tuesdays 8pm EST from October to December (in oval tracks only) for Platinum G3 Cup mod.

The schedule brings mostly short tracks that are not used very often for online races. That itself will provide some level of fresh excitement to the racers (along with new rules and race dynamics).

In order to keep the fight for the title open till the last race, the series introduces the "double points race" on the last race. That means this race points will be counted in double, maybe working as last chance to catch championship leader even if the points gap to the other competitors is a bit large.

Another feature to be introduced is the "live cautions" with a pacecar. The pacecar will be graciously driven by NHPS first season multi champion DaveO, that will also work as main race official for the series.

Also, the series now allows provisionals (unless for the last race) to help to keep driver's chances for the title even if he misses some races.
